Good news on the sound issues I was experiencing earlier. I ended up upgrading to a newer version of NW.JS (0.13.0-beta7) to work with the latest version of greenworks and now the sound plays out of the box, no hacking of assets.js required.
There are newer versions of nw.js, they are up to 0.14.5 as of my writing this, but 0.13.0-beta7 is the latest that greenworks supports.
round 2 of testing is complete using non-SDK builds. I knew it should have worked, but it was nice to see that it did:

I'm looking for a few beta testers to try this out. You need steam, and I'd like a few with Windows and a few on Mac.
If you're interested, send an email to jon at tinystarship dot com with your steam id and what operating system you have, (Mac 10.11, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, etc). I'll be setting it up on monday, gotta figure out their beta system.

I'm using a combination of Greenworks, a NW.JS -> Steam plugin and the Gamesalad HTML5 APIs. There's some info on page 3 about it
today I am trying to get the table send/receive function working. There are some limitations in HTML5 that prevent cross-domain sending of data. I THINK I got it sorted out on the train last week, but I was too tired to really remember it. That's the last main function I need to fix. then it's time for the beta!
well, i never actually got it working, I think I just saw some calls from the creator instead of the HTML5 game. I submitted a bug on it, it seems that the post parameters are getting stripped out on HTML5 calls when the same call from the creator goes through. Both calls are getting a success reply from my webserver, so i know it's going through
Gotta put together a basic website for the game, make a real trailer and that should do it, baring any show stopping bugs. Hopefully I can release it next week
Getting close, I hope to release it this week. I made a new short trailer last week, created a website for the game. Right now I am working on tweaking my badge designs after getting feedback from the review committee. I hope do finish that today and resubmit.
@Franto said: @jonmulcahy Humorous what you did with the website name "ho.me". Anyways, incredible progress in a territory GS hasn't fully explored until now.
Haha thanks. I wanted the .com buT it was taken. This way I could just have the name be the url.
It's been a lot of hard work, but hopefully it pans out.
well, amidst all the drama I am still plugging away, hoping to release this afternoon. I found 2 bugs this morning that I fixed, uploading the latest release now.
Wow, congratulations!
Bought it, no way I'm not supporting this. Best of luck, hope you'll get a lot of sales over the next few days. I'll let you know about my experience.

You certainly deserve it after all the research and effort you've put in
It's surreal to say this, but my first game on steam is officially released.

Fantastic work !! Not just the game, but all the back end technical clever stuff too ! Amazing
Thanks! That was big pain to figure out, but looking back, was not actually that complicated.
I think the biggest barrier for anyone getting a game on Steam now is just getting through the greenlight process.
