please excuse me if this has been addressed already. How are iphone game controls created?

The iPhone/iPod touch have inputs with the touch screen(mapped to the mouse down event) and the accelerometer.
There is a D-Pad that has directional buttons that are mapped to the arrow keys, and another button that is mapped to the spacebar.
The D-Pad will be optional for being shown. But that feature will be coming in a newer version of GameSalad.
