New phones' aspect ratio?

in Working with GS (Mac)

It seems new devices are becoming a pain for programmers.
For example the New LG G6 has an aspect ration of 18:9, whereas the Galaxy S9 has 18.5:9

How can be sure my game does not appear distorted (tall) because of these new resolutions?

IS there an option so make the game appear with black bars?
