Promoting GameSalad apps/games through ads

Hey All, I wanted to pose a question about the viability of using platforms like Chartboost or Google Admob or even Unity Ads to promote your games. I know that some of them require SDK integration or at least require it to run certain types of ads (pay per install) Has anyone used a platform like these and had any results?
