Can't open Gs project as the file is unsupported and newer than this version of GS supports

Recently I got this message when trying to open my GS project that the file is newer than what GS supports. There is a picture below. If anyone could help with this it would be much appreciated.

    Did you downgrade to an older GS version?

    @NNterprises, no, it was fine last night and suddenly wasnt working this morning, I can't think of anything I could have done to cause it... :/
