I always check out the N&N sections when they arrive to see if any of us appear in there, other than that, I don't think there's a service that tells you, although I could be wrong!
NOOOOOOOOO!!!! MAX ISN'T READY!!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!
Oh well... hopefully Apple will release the update quick smart. The screen shots STILL aren't showing in the App Store, either... argh, what a mess this has all been. LOL.
I'm sure things can only get better. But it really shouldn't be so difficult to get simple shooters running smoothly on a 3GS! There is a lot on screen, but come on... then again... it'd be harder with Objective C - I'd have to learn it! LOL. I guess GS has to do a whole heap of stuff converting out drag and drop commands into proper code... still a bloody handy app but my next few games are going to be a little less "manic" until we have MOOOORRREEE SPEEEEEEEED!
I assume that when you say "less manic" it is the same as saying "more taptardy"...which is basically what I have been saying in my recent posts.
The GE is simply not optimized enough to do "complex" and "heavy" games efficiently.
It wasn't a "dig" so much on GS as a statement of fact that the GE (game engine) isn't fluid enough to use in an efficient manner to achieve complex physics scenes with a lot going on in them (that is if you wish to target slower devices).
Nope, not more taptardy. I just need to be cleverer with the game design. I have a few cool ideas and not everything requires a million actors onscreen at once, like Max. I've not really used a heap of physics so can't really comment on that but I feel your pain! More speed and stability is a must!
Cheers, here's hoping it's better than my $46 worth of sales from the first night... still, can't complain, considering Apple screwed up and screen shots weren't even available in device for the first 48 hours!!!!

Except he said he wished the update was coming faster.
Congrats man.

EDIT: Screen shots are showing now
Perhaps an example of why one would save their "expedited" requests for a necessity.
Hope you get a speedy update review.
If the GS game engine were to shrink by even 25%...it would be a tremendous help.
