Magic Trackpad

Hi all. Was wondering if anyone knows anything about the new magic trackpad apple released? Can this be used to test touch operations in games developed on the desktop. I mean can it be used like an iphone might be used to test out game controls? Thanks.

    The macbook's track pad is multitouch two.
    So I don't think so.

    Unfortunately the Magic Trackpad has the same functionality as the laptop trackpads.

    These are relative to the mouse pointer position so the touch is mainly used to move the mouse rather than sensing 'where'.

    Damn. I was hoping it would have been different than the laptop pad. What is the point then other than having a pad for the desktop. This is kinda stupid. If it had the touch features like an Iphone that would be something!

    Yes, I too was hoping the same but for the laptop track pads.
    I know the Wacom pads can be set to have screen coords rather than moving the pointer.
    Again Apple went for an incremental advance rather than a revolutionary one.

    If you go into change attribute, or whatever. Under devices there are 'Touches'.

    You can do what you wan't for each touch.
