You can hire illustrators here on the forums, purchase assets on the GameSalad Marketplace or other third-party sites, or use various software programs to draw your own. I recommend starting here if you want to learn about graphic design.
I know how to work with Photo Shop will that work as well?
Sure - you can import your images as .png .jpeg and even .tiff files I believe.
I personally stick with .pngs
Remember to follow the general rule of 2 -i.e. try and deal in sizes that are divisible into an even number (e.g. 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048)
Additionally, your image should be double the size of your actor.
e.g.
Your actor is 64x64 on your screen. Its image should therefore be 128x128 to account for retina displays.
