Hello,

My team and I have spent the last 2 months making this game demo/proof of concept, and it is available for everyone to try out for free.

This was the first game we've ever built. It is a comic book/mini game hybrid. The mechanic of the game is that a story is told through the use of comic book panels, and key events are played out through mini games that takes a few minutes to beat. This idea was taken from games like Feel the Magic for the DS.

This entire demo takes maybe 5 minutes to beat, but we tried to polish that 5 minutes as much as possible.

Please enjoy our first entry into the Outrageous Ordeals of Ottoman Chesterfield series.

Dude, that is really weird. Why are we shooting horses?

Still, your gameplay is solid and seems to function well. Good luck with further development.

And just out of curiosity, how many people are on your team?

Because they want to kill you!

I don't know, that's what my story guy wrote, I don't ask questions, haha.

I had a team of 5, since this was a project for school (handed in last week, wooo)

2 people did art, and one of the artist wrote the story.
1 person did music and sound
2 people, including me, made the game in game salad.

We chose to do a simple game design because we didn't want to get ahead of ourselves since this was the first time we tried to make a game.

This will probably be the last game I'll have a team though since this was a school project!

Hey, that's cool, team work can be a very good learning experience. So you are now off to a career of game designing? And what kind of grade did you all get?

Working (and leading) a team was definitely a good learning experience, especially when you have to manage a major project like this one, where we each put in 100 to 300 hours of work into this demo(they gave us the entire month of December and January off to work on this).

I wish I was off to a career in game designing! Unfortunately I'm getting my degree in Radio and TV but I decided to do a game project as we have a small new media section in my program as well. (We were the only video game related project, everyone else made a documentary or a movie). We won't know our grades for another month or so.

I will definitely keep making games because I had a lot of fun doing this. Unfortunately I have to save up for a mac, I borrowed the university's macbooks to make this (Which I've kept for over 2 months, I should probably give it back, haha).

I will probably be saving up for a mac mini.
