I do not want to discourage you, just a heads up but Unfortunately the App Store is not a gold rush anymore very few developers make the kind of money you are thinking. It takes a hell of lot more than a good game to make a decent amount of cash. 80% of devs ( not only in gamesalad ) linger in the first two options of my poll.
Interesting , some people have made some big money based on your poll, I'm curious who they are..or what apps they are... I ve heard some big time devs say the app store is turning into either you make a lot or not much type of market...but again it's so new, and things move very fast in this field ..who knows what's ahead

Your poll is for some crappy games. Most of people here made very simple game. Remember you have to compete with other talented people or entire studios. Despite the effort and the time they spent, most of the app here are lack of creativity.

theres plenty of A+ quality games on ios that have made way less then 5grand and died out. Go check it out for yourself if you dont believe me.

I predict that anything *you* make will not do well at all.

Anything made with just one of those factors will struggle. Having all three is... well, sorry.

Soulist, I had to vote 5k or below. Wayyyyy below actually. It's free now so that is part of it but even so it did not make much when it was paid and my app is not crap. I have to agree with JohnPapiomitis.
This is a good idea for a poll, but I don't think it has much external validity. Even though some have done that well, there's no way that percentage of GS users have made more than $100000 on a game. Also, there's no option for 5k - 10k. Curious now what the real numbers are.

My guess is the 100k votes are just to screw with the poll because its something that has been asked and answered over and over.
90% or more of the apps on itunes make less than $1000. Its sucks, but guess what, Part of the reason is there is so much !@#$% out there burying anything worth a crap, no one has any faith in what they are buying.

Your prediction is wrong! I didn't make any game with GS. Alright, alright, I should say this. most of the people here made Great Games. I hope i make them feel better.
Things seem to be a lot harder now on the app store. It is so overpopulated now, that games die out in a matter of weeks and are pretty impossible to bring back to life.

Very true. I've noticed that as the release of Sunshine was approaching, and I was mentioning it lots everywhere before release, sales of Air Supply started increasing rather nicely.
I still believe that having a good stable of games and a 'good' reputation will see you do ok in the long run.
