It's as good as any mouse but I personally prefer using the magic trackpad. If you get the mouse I highly suggest also getting the recharging station for it. A fresh pair of batteries usually only last me a week.

Do you have the Apple battery charger? If so do you like it?
Hurt your hand? Have you fed it? It was probably hungry. I have a mighty Mouse and I like it except for the scrollball which clogs up with dirt, but the magic doesn't have one, am I right?
Best ever for me. The scrolling and forward/back navigation by touch is fantastic, batteries(!!) I just have two sets of pound shop rechargeables on rotation.
First, I was very skeptical at the move to a touch based mouse. It actually is the best mouse for any mac, but in games, well it kinda sucks. Scrolling is unintuitive in games, as things are way over sensitive. For photoshop and stuff it's great though!
And once you've found a comfy way to grip it, it won't hurt your hand. Maybe you guys can post images of how you hold it! ;-{)

Love the swiping actions to navigate - so quick and easy.
I use rechargeable batteries in the mouse and they last for ages (weeks not days).
My hand has never ached afterwards.
