Black & White Game?

Would you consider styling a whole game in Black & White? Or a part of it?

Im not sure what the reaction would be if I did something like that so just wanted a few opinions...

Black & White can look great, just like anything else so long as skill is involved.

i think its a great style. Iv never used it. But played games with it.
Darren's block jump gam was just black and white, and that just made the game so much better.
I would say, yes, use it!

There is an interesting effect when using just plain black and white in that can reduce thinking time as selective decisions are limited, and processed faster. The addition of one colour pushes up the processing time a lot, and it is multiplied by adding more colours. I am not sure but I believe this tied into the processing in the visual cortex and the difference between the processing of information from rods and cones in the eyes. I had some of this explained to me by a scientist who was involved in designing complex UIs. He told me that we take the visual forms we see and break them down to underlying schematics which are processed and stored in a form without colour, and the addition of colour just adds time to how long it takes us to get there. When we remember things, our brains take the stored schematic and cloth it with colour in a rough guessing sort of way, but the structure beneath it is more accurate.

While how this might be considered in game design is debatable I have seen some things while testing that seem to bear this theory out (timed responses to different interfaces).

1 bit run has 2 colors(at least only 2 each time), and it is awesome

but if u only use part of it then I think is no good
