Questions about optimization

I'm currently working on a game, but it is very scene-heavy. I keep noticing that a new scene (with a few actors) ads about 60kb to my game- which seems a little heavy. I want to keep this game under 10 megs, so my question is- when the game is finally exported to iphone, will the xcode conversion also compress the data at all?
For example, if my game is 5 megs in GameSalad, how big will it be on iphone?

My Danger Cats! project says 10.3MB, but the actual size is 2.8MB
I think I read something that the screenshots add to the project size, but are not added to the final app.
So I would build a quick dev build for your phone, and see what the result is...
