How GS Publishing Works?

I have a question on how GS works. When your game is completed and you press the Publish button, what exactly happens? What does GS do to your game? How is it put in the App Store?

it compliless, code signs the game, then sends you back the .app file. You then upload through itunes connect through your developer account on apple's dev website like any other game or app

It also places subliminal messages throughout your game that will change and customize them selves to the individual user driving them do things they wouldn't normally do. At least thats what I heard.
