send forward/backward

any reason why sending actors forward or backward would not work? I have a hud which sits behind other actions and nothing I can do will make it come to the front.

    the only thing i can think of is maybe you have items on different layers?
    send to front will only send it to the front of the actor's current layer.

    other than that i don't know...
