Sales are pretty much 0 for the first weekend. Only promo codes went out and I know the 3 people that actually bought my game. lol
A lot of work is going into Spelunkeldunk right now. My personal roadmap for this game is pretty clear in my mind:
By the end of Feb, I hope to submit version 2.0, which adds new levels, unlockable rope types, new game mechanics, etc. I am currently creating the levels, but will soon creating bright new graphics/menus and what not to increase the visual appeal of the game.
I will submit a Lite version which will essentially be how the game is now, just endless gameplay - and free.
Spelunkeldunk is working toward a huge 2.0 update. This is a preview of one of the new levels: waterfall cave. It will feature this as the background along with a couple other new tricks. Lots of new updates coming soon, so stay tuned!
I've figured out an easy way to avoid tiling when using several layers of parallax, so I'll be redoing the graphics for the first cave as well.
forklift said: We're featured on the Adventure New and Noteworthy iphone category... but not quite on the front page yet... gotta spelunk to find it! nyuk nyuk
Version 1.2 has been submitted - it fixes a bug in 1.1 where sometimes Dunk mode wouldn't turn back, so have some promo codes for version 1.1 before it goes to 1.2!
Comments and crits are appreciated. I have listened and implemented several suggestions and am happy to add features in future releases... let me know what you'd like to see!
Have a level/other game suggestion? Email me or post here. If I use your suggestion, I'll send you a promo code... either for this game or if you already have it, I'll send one for my other games being released.
Also, how has this game run on your devices? Load time? Several seconds of white screen on my iPod touch after GS logo don't know why for such a small game.
Levels currently being created in this order: Waterfall Climb, Volcano Escape, Zero-G Asteroid, Underwater Cave, Ice Cavern.
I created the music myself... laid a techno track and slowed it way down to get the feel of industrial rythm. I'd love suggestions for the musical themes on all of these other levels.
Even though I'm a few weeks behind my schedule, I haven't forgotten about this! Been optimizing and bug squashing for version 2.0. I want the presentation to be 100% for it and the launch of Spelunkeldunk Lite.
The waterfall level is in it's final state - sans music. Trying to cook up something special for it. The music is done for the volcano, space, and ice level. I will release version 2.0 with the classic cave level, the waterfall, and the volcano. Version 2.1 will feature the other levels.
What do you all think of the new icon? Like the old 8bit version better (my forum avatar)? Suggestions?
