I guess I just want to be prepared, what are some good places to advertise apps? For example, would it be a good idea to advertise them on facebook?

Definitely a GREAT idea to post on facebook. Tell all of your friends, family, ect. Post on every social place you have and get the word out there. Get a popular app reviewer on youtube to get a review on your app. Do as much as you can if you believe your game is worth the money. Thanks
