Great game i just bought it. great gameplay and love the leaderboard option.two suggestion I have would be a pause feature and volume on/off button. It looks like you used the codemonkey joystick demo.Im messing around with it for a game im working on now, do you mind if i ask how you were able to do the directional animation going left/right/right corner angle/left corner angle etc. so far all i've been able to do is rotate the actor but i would love to be able to change the actor image when the actor is goin upstage left/right etc.love the bot design to btw. Good luck with sales.
Sorry, it's been a while since I've been back to visit this post and the email notify has never worked for me. To answer your question THRSTN, I take the angle of the joystick from it's base and then set up a bunch of rules to determine the angle and what image to display. There were several limitations that I ran into testing on the phone vs the computer, allot was due to the limitations of the devices and the gamesalad engine. I had to find a happy medium between performance, polish, and functionality. I went with a 16 positional character, as aposed to 8 directions with "idle" motion. I've also had to limit the amount of bad bots that are spawned, another performance hit. So I played with the speed and blast hits that the Sm.82 bots have.
