What if my character's name is already copyrighted?

There is a name that I would like to use (Froggie) that has been copyrighted, is there any way that I could still use it?

    Copyright affects the artistic design of the name not the word. Example; color font artwork. Trademark is where it gets touchy, some dips#%t is the trademark office let a dev trademark DASH and they are going after everything game dash related.

    okay, so how do i find out if Froggie has been copyrighted in the field of characters?

    Anything pictured printed published is copyrighted doesn't need to have the c next to it TM or trademarked have the TM or R next to it is an indicator otherwise search it in the office
