Add URL option for pro membership

Just wanted to see how people are utilizing the "Add URL" option in Gamesalad Pro, wanted to get some ideas

Can anyone figure out how to make the URL to go to the app store from the game?

Although it may work on the desktop, iPhone has 2 applications with the additional App Store app instead of just iTunes.

I think as long as you link directly to the app, it will open with the correct application. I've never had a problem linking directly to one.

To get the link, visit the app in iTunes and right click on the icon. You'll get a copy link option.

I just tried a link that goes directly to the app store inside my app. Running on a 2nd gen ipod touch the link opened up itunes directly - no safari.

I'm about to submit an app to Apple with the option to buy one of my apps via the Pro URL option - I'll let you know if it passes their review process.

Well, the "Lite" version of Pocket Putt was just approved. This posting is not intended to include the "Lite" version in the weekly GS releases - but the point is that the lite version makes use of the Pro - URL feature.

It allows a user to try 3 holes of the golf game for free, then if they choose they can link directly to the App Store to buy the full version. Hopefully this URL feature will encourage a few more sales with a "try it before you buy it" model.
