timer accuracy question

I'm trying to make a guitar hero style game and getting the timing right is essential. How accurate is the timer behavior? Can I type in 0.92 seconds? Or does it round it to .9 or to 1.0?

    thanks! that's good news! now if I could just get my band to stay on time then I could make a working guitar hero style game!
