Plunder Boy "Dev Log"

Hi everyone I thought it was about time I posted something here I'm working on, this is "Plunder Boy" an auto runner side scrolling platformer and this thread will be my Dev log going forward.
I have many games in development but wanted to get back on these forums and start to share some stuff etc, so hopfully I can share some stuff with you guys and see what you all think of this title as it develops. As long as I can keep off Pokemon Go that is

I love sega master system games especially Alex Kidd and wonder boy, why I'm naming it Plunder Boy it's a pirate themed platformer and very much like the first wonder boy, I have a gameplay twist though that I'll reveal later down the line, it's nothing groundbreaking but I don't see too much of it about.
I'm aiming for 5 worlds with about 8 levels each including boss fights at the end.
Also a world map because I love those

Thanks guys I will get a video sorted soon as I finish the character animations, I'm only using mega man frames edited to be honest so won't take too long I don't think. Hardest part so far has been getting the variable jump and gravity feeling good for some fast hardcore platformer gameplay, oh and a boobawrang weapon

I would make the bushes move a bit to bring
more life to the scene.
And have the coins have a rotate animaion (3dish) or make em bounce a bit)
For the rock ground I first though its water, maybe something with the colors also the ground looks not harmful through its roundish forms.
You probably planned stuff like this already just giving my 5 cents.

@BigDave thanks I hear ya, yeah it's pretty early, and yeah that is water I'm just not animating it yet haha
also not implementing much animation until I get it all working exactly how I want it, grounded rules are a problem right now so working on that. Working on propper enemy's too that do a lot more stuff. Thanks for the comments
