Gravity/Moving Objects Help

Ok, i'm thinking about starting a new game, but I need some help. I have to have gravity in a scene for an object to fall or roll. But I also want to have actors in the scene that move back a forth, without falling due to the gravity. How do I do this?

    Thank you tshirt. Im hoping for my first game to be approved tomorrow, and if it has a lot of downloads and people like it, im going to add levels to it, otherwise im going to start on a new game.
