How to embed images into forum posts?

How do you embed images into posts? E.g when someone is selling artwork or asking for feedback for graphics.

To be clear selling artwork is no longer allowed.

To embed an image you need to use this code

@Phoenix256, this thread is several years old and as such, the method has changed. To embed an image, upload it to a file-sharing site and then click on the black page icon above the message and paste the URL into the image URL field.

It's also worth noting that only Pro users can attach images directly to forum posts, so non-Pro users need to use an external image host as @tatiang suggests.
