express version=iPhone Developer Program?

If you buy the Express gamesalad subscription, does this mean you are part of the iPhone Developer Program? Can I use this membership with other programs (adobe flash)?

    No. You have to buy the GS express for $100 and a
    iPhone dev license for another $100, $200 total.

    You need to buy the express version for $99 a year, and the sign up with Apple and pay them $99 per year too so that you can publish paid apps to the App Store

    Edit: artonskyblue beat me to it. Keep in mind the fees are per year, so $200 per year.

    so if I get GS express I can only publish games/apps from gamesalad?

    In order to put anything into the app store, you need to join apples development program. That costs $99.

    If you want to use gamesalad to develop iPhone or iPad games, you need to buy a gamesalad express membership.

    The total cost of developing games for the AppStore using gamesald is $198.

    hmm, thats quite a bit. How many decent apps do we have to put out (based on your own experience) to make that money back?

    Some ppl make it back 10-20 fold with there first app and some dont make it back in thier first year. It just depends. Don't you have another thread going with that same general question.

    no, that thread was about how much on average people make with their first app
